Our History
Hongbang Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. has evolved from a small-scale materials trader into a vertically integrated supplier of high-performance rare earth materials. Over the past decade, we have focused on technology development, global market expansion, and long-term value creation in critical material supply chains.
2015 – Foundation
The company was officially established in Qingdao, China. Our initial operations focused on rare earth oxide trading and small-batch separation services, primarily serving domestic ceramics and glass polishing industries.
2016–2017 – Technical Breakthroughs in Separation
We invested in laboratory-scale extraction systems and successfully developed a proprietary multi-stage solvent extraction process. This allowed us to produce high-purity lanthanum, cerium, and neodymium oxides with improved yield and lower environmental footprint.
2018 – ISO Certification and First Export Orders
We achieved ISO 9001 quality management certification and began exporting cerium oxide and lanthanum oxide to Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. This marked the beginning of our international operations.
2019–2020 – Entry into Magnet Materials and Alloying
In response to increasing demand from the electronics and renewable energy sectors, we established our first magnet powder production line and alloy smelting facility. Sintered NdFeB materials and custom rare earth alloys were introduced into our portfolio.
2021 – Product Diversification and OEM Services
We expanded into high-purity europium and terbium oxide production, supporting clients in the LED phosphor and display markets. At the same time, we began offering OEM/ODM services for clients requiring tailored magnet sizes, shapes, and coatings.
2022 – Joint R&D Laboratory Established
A formal research collaboration was initiated with two major Chinese universities, focused on next-generation rare earth functional materials. This initiative supported new developments in low-Dy magnets, phosphor formulations, and rare earth catalysts.
2023 – Global Supply Chain Expansion
We enhanced logistics and compliance infrastructure to support growing exports to Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Partnerships with local agents were formalized in Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan. Annual export volume exceeded 2,000 tons for the first time.
2024 – Strategic Industries and Technical Integration
Our materials were successfully integrated into wind turbines, electric vehicle motors, MRI systems, and oil refining catalysts. These milestones positioned Hongbang as a reliable supplier to Tier-1 industrial and medical equipment manufacturers.
Looking Forward
In the coming years, we aim to:
- Expand our capacity for magnet production and rare earth alloy fabrication
- Launch rare earth recycling initiatives and green processing programs
- Strengthen collaboration with clients in aerospace, defense, and high-frequency electronics
- Establish regional service centers and warehousing in Europe and the Middle East
Our growth has been steady and rooted in technology, transparency, and long-term client relationships. Hongbang Technology remains committed to providing high-quality rare earth materials for the industries shaping tomorrow’s world.
